Wabash's Noah Cressell signed a letter of intent Wednesday, Nov. 8, to wrestle for North Dakota State University.

Located in Fargo, N.D., North Dakota State has an NCAA Division 1 wrestling program and participates in the Big 12.

“In Indiana, it’s all about basketball,” Cressell told The Paper of Wabash County when discussing why he chose to attend North Dakota State. “In North Dakota it’s about football and wrestling.”

NORTH MANCHESTER -- Hayes Sturtsman's dream is coming true.

A Manchester High School baseball player, Sturtsman will continue his education and baseball career at Indiana Tech, Fort Wayne.

“It's crazy. It's what I've always dreamed of. You never thing it's going to happen when you are little,” Sturtsman said. “I'm kind of speechless."

Southwood continued to keep rolling as they beat Adams Central on the road last Friday night 50-27. The Knights (11-1) will travel to Parker City to take on the Monroe Central Golden Bears, also (11-1) on the road this week for the regional 43 title. Monroe Central beat Sheridan 26-7 last week for the 1A Sectional title.
