Charles H. "Chuck" Leach, 69, Wabash, died at 1:58 p.m., Friday, May 9, at Bickford Cottage, Wabash. He was born Sept. 14, 1944 in Sault Sainte Marie, Mich. to Howard R. and Nettie M. (Lewis) Leach.

Margaret Rayburn, 82, North Manchester, died at 4:30 a.m. on May 11 at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester. She was born on March 11, 1932 in Converse to John and Margariute (Dangerfield) Oyler.

Douglas L. Stoldt, 82, Wabash, died at 11:45 a.m., Thursday, May 8, at his home.  He was born Nov. 2, 1931 in Fremont, Ohio to William "John" and Irene (Cook) Stoldt.

Mary Combs, 79, died May 6. She was born on May 31, 1934. She was married to Roscoe Combs; he survives.

Surviving along with her husband are two sons, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a great, great-granddaughter, one brother and a sister.

She was preceded in death by one son, one brother, and two sisters.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, at the Gundrum Funeral Home with Major Rose Eagle officiating.  Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, also in the funeral home.

Robert E.  Schmalzried, 69, rural Wabash, died at 10:33 p.m., Thursday, May 1, at Wabash County Hospital. He was born Feb. 15, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Newell and O. Ruth (Imler) Schmalzried.

Lolita E. Lobdell, 92, LaFontaine, passed away at 10:40 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, at Visiting Nurse Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. She was born to the late DeWitt O. and Bertha A. (Myers) Weaver on Dec. 9, 1921 in Grant County.

Shirley Jean Lamb, 78, Peru, died May 1. She was born March 29, 1936. She was married to James B. Lamb; he survives.

She is also survived by one son, two sisters, six grandchildren, one brother, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother, and two sons.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, at McClain Funeral Home. 

Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Madalyn Janelle Gardenour, 88, Fort Wayne, formerly of Wabash, died at 8:40 a.m., Saturday, May 3, at her home in Fort Wayne. She was born Sept. 27, 1925 in Millgrove, to Ernest and Vera (Bush) DeBatty.
